We started our family business in the spring of 2005 with a small fish farm in Lake Malgomaj just outside our farm. The idea was to increase our income so that one of us could be at home with our three children. That’s what happened, and the company grew rapidly. This was before locally produced food became popular, but it still went really well.
Our business idea was to provide char and rainbow salmon to the local area, but since Vildmarksvägen (Wilderness Road) passes right outside our door, tourists and cottage owners quickly became our biggest customers. The range was expanded from whole fish to filleted and smoked fish.
We also built a completely new processing room and started baking flatbread, cooking cloudberry jam and other small and good things that were in demand.
Now locally produced food crafts are established and much appreciated by all.
